Must Société: A commitment that aligns with the Foundation’s mission
At Must Société, equity means ensuring that everyone has genuine access to opportunities for success. When barriers prevent women from putting their skills and ideas to work, society as a whole loses out. Guided by this belief, Must Société is partnering with the Lise Watier Foundation to help remove these barriers and support women on their journey toward financial independence.
Must Société is participating in the IMPACT Initiative for the first time, combining financial support with personalized mentoring. Through the IMPACT Grant and one-to-one guidance, the company aims to give a woman the opportunity to take a step back, recognize her strengths and move toward financial independence with greater confidence and a clearer sense of direction. This year, Must Société is supporting Magali, a Let’s Start Up Pathway graduate.
“At Must Société, we believe that independence is built through learning, experience and the support of others. This belief guides the way we support our teams and nurture their talents. It also underpins our commitment to the Lise Watier Foundation, whose work helps women build lasting financial independence. Together, we want to help remove the barriers that hold women back. Our commitment reflects an ambition that extends beyond our company and is close to our hearts: recognizing people’s potential and providing them with the tangible support they need to realize it.”

Magali: Perseverance as the driving force for a new beginning
Despite facing learning challenges, Magali earned three vocational diplomas in horticulture, arboriculture and computer graphics. However, when she became a single mother of two, she put her career on hold for several years. In 2022, she returned to the workforce, taking on on various project management roles. Some offered limited pay, and her employment situation remained unstable. Despite the uncertainty, she was drawn to the dynamic nature of project management and the tangible impact it can have.
Through the Let’s Start Up Pathway, Magali connected with women from diverse backgrounds in an inclusive and supportive environment that helped her recognize her own potential. With the practical tools, workshops and guidance offered by the Lise Watier Foundation, she now feels better equipped to shape her professional path. Her goal is to build a more stable career by strengthening her project management skills and expertise.

Building a project management career with a social impact
Magali is pursuing a certificate in project management at Université Laval to develop her skills in a field that inspires her. Drawing on her diverse professional background, she hopes to transition into a role where she can put her existing expertise to full use while continuing to learn and build a stable career. She is also exploring the possibility of offering consulting services to community organizations and social-impact initiatives. Ultimately, her goal is to secure a stable position in project management where she can put her experience to meaningful use.
How Must Société is helping Magali build a more secure professional future
The IMPACT Grant will cover the cost of Magali’s project management certificate at Université Laval. For a single mother whose jobs in the community sector have often been unstable and poorly compensated, this support represents a significant stepping stone toward greater career security. The training will strengthen her skills, reaffirm the value of her professional experience and open doors to better-paying opportunities, helping her move closer to lasting financial independence.
Through mentoring with Must Société, Magali will have the opportunity to clarify her career goals, build confidence and strengthen her leadership skills, all essential to transitioning into a more stable project management role.
