“When I was in high school, I remember being upset by the career choices of friends who were leaving school instead of pursuing an education. Bright girls, who were winning academic awards, but who had to go into the workforce for financial reasons. It had nothing to do with their intellectual or social ability. It was simply a matter of survival.
I had no idea at the time that I too would face serious challenges in my late teens. Without a miraculous job offer and an uncle who came to my rescue, I would not have been able to attend law school. The Lise Watier Foundation is the angel that stands in the way of women who need precious help that can change their lives. It is an honor for me to help spread the word about their mission.”
