A word from our co-chairs
“It’s both a source of privilege and excitement to be involved with the Lise Watier Foundation and the “Let’s Start Up” program for the second year in a row. In the coming year, our aim is to amplify both financial support and awareness for this transformative program. This initiative not only equips women with essential tools for achieving financial independence but also presents their children with role models to admire. With a capital markets career spanning over two decades, a mother of three and as an immigrant, advocacy for women’s rights and creating a more diverse and equitable workforce has always been near and dear to my heart. As an active member of Women in Capital Markets, I have been an official and unofficial mentor to many up-and-coming women in all socio-economic circumstances. Growing up, I was inspired by watching my immigrant mother build an esthetics business, without any financial help or guidance, while caring for and raising a family. Today, I am motivated by my two daughters, who drive me to build a better world for them, one in which they can grow and succeed without any prejudice.”

“The Guy Côté Wealth Management Team of National Bank Financial has supported the Lise Watier Foundation since its inception. Guided by the desire to do more to support women’s financial independence, I am honored to co-chair the second edition of this fundraising event supporting the Let’s Start Up program in Toronto. As a mother of three, I understand the profound impact that empowering women has on building a better future not just for them, but for their children as well. Investing in women’s success is investing in a brighter tomorrow for us all. Let us unite in this noble cause and pave the way for a more prosperous and equitable future.”
