The Let’s Start Up Cocktail, an event that really gives wings!

A $150,000 profit, an incredible success!

On June 14, the Let’s Start Up Cocktail took place in a festive atmosphere and under the magical decor of the New City Gas. More than 400 people were present, and thanks to their generosity, $150,000 were raised to support the Let’s Start Up Program of the Lise Watier Foundation!

During the evening, the two co-chairs of the event, Guy Côté, Senior Wealth Advisor & Portfolio Manager at National Bank Financial, and Kim Thomassin, Executive Vice-President and Head of Québec at CDPQ, delivered two very inspiring messages. It was also the occasion to launch two new grants to support women in the Let’s Start Up program in their professional projects. Funded by the Rocheleau-Côté Family, the Education Grant was awarded to Gabriela Mendoza, a physiotherapy student at Dawson College. The Entrepreneurship Grant, financed by BCF, was awarded to Sarah Faucher, founder of the company Les Sans Gaspi.

In conclusion, we would like to thank Mr. Guy Côté and Mrs. Kim Thomassin for their honorary co-presidency as well as the precious partners and collaborators of the evening. We would also like to thank the committee of ambassadors and guests who, by their presence, made the evening a success. All proceeds will be used to finance the Let’s Start Up program of the Lise Watier Foundation, to help local women develop a professional project that will allow them to be financially independent.
