A woman who took several paths before finding her way.

Resilient, persevering and ambitious are the words that come to mind to describe Aurore Bouix. After a winding career path and many questionings, she finally found her way as an entrepreneur. Today, she is at the head of her company, AB Solutions Admin, which offers virtual administrative management services to small and medium-sized businesses.

Taking different paths to find her way

Originally from France, Aurore left her native country to move to Canada in 2013. However, her arrival was not without its challenges. With a degree in the health field that was not recognized by the Quebec government, she had to find a job and rethink her career. She therefore turned to a completely different field and began working as an administrative assistant. “I liked my job, but I was still looking for myself…” she confides. Seeing her dissatisfaction grow over time, it was in 2018 that she decided to embark on her entrepreneurial adventure.

She first took an initial training to become a virtual assistant. Despite this, she found that this training did not provide her with enough tools to launch her own business project. That’s when she discovered the Let’s Start Up program that was offered at the Centre Étape in Quebec City.

The Let’s Start Up Program, so much more than the realization of a business plan

When Aurore joined the program, her goal was to complete her business plan and to develop it further in order to put her vision on paper and to set clear and realistic objectives. But the program turned out to be much more! For Aurore, it was a place where she could ask her questions in an environment of trust and collaboration. It was also a space to share with other women entrepreneurs, a key element to breaking the isolation she felt since she was self-employed.

Having completed the program in 2020, she has been continuing her councelling with Céline, the Lise Watier Foundation’s entrepreneurial coach-expert, for a year now. These monthly coaching meetings allow her to express what she experiences as an entrepreneur, to raise the difficulties she experiences and to find strategic solutions.

The woman inside me has grown so much. I have opened my eyes to my potential, but to make it shine there are things to work on to bring it out even more. Celine guided me and I am proud to say that today, I am ahead of my vision and many goals have already been achieved. I am very grateful and I think that if I had not chosen the Let’s Start Up Program, I am not sure that I would have the same result today”.
