On October 20, 2016, the 5th edition of the Ball to benefit the Lise Watier Foundation was held under the honorary co-chairmanship of Isabelle Hudon, CEO Quebec and Senior Vice President – Client Solutions, Sun Life Financial Canada, and François Gratton, Executive Vice President and President – Business Solutions Eastern Canada and TELUS Quebec, TELUS. The net amount of $535,000 was raised thanks to the profits generated by ticket sales and the contributions of various partners and donors. These funds, which are essential for raising awareness about the future of women in need, are not only a smart investment, but also a useful and appropriate approach, opening the door to a better future.

The Lise Watier Foundation offers the Let’s Start Up Pathway in Montreal, Quebec City, the Laurentians, Montérégie, Sherbrooke and Toronto. More than 300 women a year are committed to taking action through the Let’s Start Up Pathway. They graduate with a better understanding of their strengths and skills, as well as the knowledge and tools to implement their professional project. Women thus begin a new journey towards financial independence through entrepreneurship, a return to school or a more fulfilling job.
