On February the 27th, Marie-Lise Andrade and Paule Labelle decided to take up the challenge to reach the top of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the Lise Watier Foundation.
After eight days of trekking up Africa’s highest and most famous mountain, they admit they were definitely out of there comfort zone. During those trying moments, there thoughts turned to the thousands of women who face these challenges every day.
On March 5th 2013, they reached their goal by summiting the highest mountain in Africa!
With the support of friends and family, Marie-Lise and Paule raised $34 500—money that will go a long way in helping women in Canada to overcome their own obstacles and reach new heights.
