Chantale Parent is an advisor for the Lise Watier Foundation’s Let’s Start Up Program. She helps women achieve their full potential through their professional life projects, whether they are facing job loss, vulnerability or a career change. Chantale has accompanied twelve cohorts of inspiring and dedicated women in career transition. How does she do it? By listening to them and guiding them through entrepreneurial training.
The Lise Watier Foundation’s premise: Behind every great woman is a another woman
Lise Watier and her daughter Marie-Lise Andrade founded the organization to support and encourage the professional development and financial independence of local women. The meticulously crafted and continually updated 18-week entrepreneurship training program combines group workshops and individual sessions. Some participants face unclear projects and significant challenges such as lack of confidence, imposter syndrome, or the feeling of never being ready. In this context, the advisor assists these women in taking action, in a spirit of caring and respect for each individual.
Mission completed
Since its launch in 2017, the Let’s Start Up Program has supported more than 1,000 women who have developed projects aligned with their values, culminating in a diploma from Concordia University. For Chantale, the greatest reward of all is hearing a participant say the program changed her life. “There’s a clear before and after with the Let’s Start Up Program. Being told that you’ve changed someone’s life…that’s truly a profound recognition,” Chantale confides.
All these women, having received support and guidance during their entrepreneurial training, will in turn become ambassadors for the program. Like the geese symbol in the Foundation’s logo, they will welcome and support others in their journey.
