The story of Lawrence
Lawrence is the founder of Goulot and a graduate of the Let’s Start Up Program.
Building her business after 10 years of working in an environment that did not suit her.
Lawrence worked for a long time in the security industry. Unfortunately, she could not find her place in this conservative and procedural work environment where she did not see herself growing or evolving. Due to a lack of confidence in her means and fear of the unknown, she hesitated for a long time before making the decision to embark on a new life project. Was it possible for her to find a job that would match her aspirations? It was only after ten years of working in this field that she finally decided to launch her own business!
Gathering, meeting and sharing with people; that is what inspired her and motivated her to create her business project.
“I had an idea and the willingness to work hard, but where do I start? “.
Lawrence soon realized that she couldn’t do it alone. She needed to share her ideas and acquire new knowledge. It was important for her to find the necessary support to start her business project. That is when she discovered the Let’s Start Up Program of the Lise Watier Foundation.
The Let’s Start Up program, an important help
The Let’s Start Up Program allowed her to develop a solid business plan by providing her the necessary reflections to make the right decisions. The learning she has gained goes far beyond simple training. Through the program, Lawrence was able to develop her skills and self-awareness, giving her the confidence to start her own business.
Without the program, I might not have embarked on this project in short or long term… The program gave me the confidence and taught me that once you’re well prepared, you must go for it, because if you don’t try, you’ll never know,” she says.
During her time with the Lise Watier Foundation, Lawrence also discovered the strength of the Let’s Start Up community. She met inspiring women of all ages. Although each of them was carrying out a different professional project, each was there to stimulate, encourage and congratulate the success of the others. In short, the entrepreneurial journey, the weekly meetings, the support of the counsellor and the opportunity to share with other women entrepreneurs from her region helped Lawrence find the strength to change the course of her life.
Today, Lawrence is a determined woman entrepreneur who is passionate about her profession. It is always with a smile on her face and a burning passion that she talks about her company Goulot, which offers turnkey home wine tasting services. With a mission to bring people together around wine in order to create a friendly, warm, and unpretentious experience. The company is now successful!
